It's not one of the old style punk music, fast cut thrill rides. Nor is it simply a series of clips from the 'in' parties, with the top-name skaters doing long sequences of moves and the occasional newcomer. What this vide is, is a show of how skating should be.
The whole tape is simply an illustration of skaters going out, skating, trying new stuff, and having a laugh generally with their mates. This is not to say that the skating is less than amazing, just that you don't find yourself noticing each move. The video flows smoothly, showing big gaps, long rail and cool moves, all backed with sound tracks that could actually be played on prime time TV.
I am glad that there has been a change here from the releases in which you see a load of skaters doing the most technical trick, but looking sketchy. It seems that there was more of a leaning towards smooth moves and quality of camerawork. This is means the skater lands on a rail, then rides it out in full, not just hitting the 4 ft long rails and dropping off. This to me shows that the video is more mature, and is one I would show to non-skaters.
One thing missing from the video is any slam section, but this does not detract in any way from it. The whole feel is for going out and doing your thing. No pressure to go out and try that huge gap you've seen, or try the big steep rail next to the school. After watching this vid, I felt like putting my skates on, and finding some cool spots to try new stuff. But it was raining, so I didn't.
